There is a lot of fear being spread at the moment and it can be easy to absorb some of that fear and anxiety into our body.
We feel like we are not sure what’s going to happen next…..
Even if you don’t consciously feel stressed about the events happening in our country and around the world, our bodies can unconsciously absorb this stress.
Do you feel more tension in your shoulders or upper back?
Are old pains and aches flaring up?
Are you having a hard time focusing on your work?
Are your relationships with your children or your parents more challenged or strained by the close quarters?
Are the financial concerns significant?
Are you feeling more tired than what seems normal?
These may all be signs that even when our minds have moved on and created solutions, that our bodies have not. Stress being held in our body matters.
I hope that you are doing all that you can right now to stay safe and well. I hope that you are looking after yourself and your family by getting fresh air and sunshine, good sleep, connecting with loved ones virtually, and nourishing your body with healthy food and supplements.
And I also hope you are taking some additional steps to manage your stress at this crucial time. Right now, although I am doing all of the above, I am also doing more.
There is a technique I love to use and recommend called the First Aid Stress Technique, or FAST, which can help you feel instantly better, and it only takes 1-3 minutes.
I actually want to put exclamation points after that because it is still exciting even in this very stressful time. (This is the do-it-yourself at home version piece of a larger technique called NET which I have been doing in the office and virtually for a few years).
Does that sound valuable to learn?
It was life changing for me.
My FAST NET Sessions will help you:
- Overcome stress
- Reduce back pain and other pains
- Think more clearly and be more productive
- Feel more peace
- Improve relationships
